Do I have to build war before building ear in maven
In maven, I have my pom.xml in the folder mailHistoryEar building an ear file and the pom.xml in the mailhistoryweb folder building a war file. My folder structure looks like this: My question is, if I make changes to a particular class file and want to build an ear file based off those changes, do I have to build the war file first so that my changes goes to the local m2 maven repository? Or is there a way for my ear pom.xml to build the war before it builds the ear so that it doesn't get the old artifact that doesn't have the changes I made?
