Building on a URL. JSP
Basically, the idea is to have a site up and running, then a bot will access this site adding words to it, which the jsp file would then take in and put it though a java method. To do this, what I want to do is add text following the URL and then making the jsp file get what the bot requested from there. I am quite new to this, so I don't know if it is really feasible. For example, I have the following url working, using tomcat. 1: http://localhost:8080/HelloWorld/hello.jsp I want to add something after hello.jsp; 2: http://localhost:8080/HelloWorld/hello.jsp/user%20enters%20text What I want to do next is to take the part "user%20enters%20text" and feed it to a Java method, then put display what the method says in return back in html format. Now, what I need to know is, if it is possible to create (2) without being predefined as it would be kind of like a variable. How can I do that?
